KARACHI: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) in line with its aim of providing more value and convenience to its customers has announced a unified tariff scheme for all on-net calls from March 01, 2009. According to Dr Sadik Al-Jadir, SEVP Commercial, PTCL this distinction has been removed and customers can make on-net calls for one simple rate of Rs 2 per 3 minutes. โNow every call on PTCLโs network is a local callโ. PTCL customers can make calls to any PTCL wire-line or WLL number in Pakistan for the same rate as local calls, i.e., Rs 2 per 3 minutes. Previously customers were charged a rate of Rs 2 per min for nationwide calls and Rs 2 per 3 minutes for local calls. He further stated that PTCL would continue to bring new products and innovative services for its fixed line subscribers at affordable rates. staff report
